Accounts Payable Specialist
Accounts Payable Specialist

Pioneers is seeking a well-organized individual to support the Finance team with accurate invoice processing and maintenance of vendor and journal entry files. We are looking for a positive person with familiarity with QuickBooks and integrated accounting software, Associates degree in accounting or 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable, attention to detail with good math and problem solving skills, ability to work in an increasing digital and paperless environment, a proactive team player, and intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Based at the Pioneers US home office located in southeast Orlando, FL, this is a part-time, paid position working 24-29 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and role.

 

Responsibilities include: processing invoices for payment, printing checks, obtaining signatures, matching remittance advice with voucher packet and filing paid vouches weekly, preparing and uploading weekly ACH file, processing expense reports, and preparing journal entries. 

 

What follows is a description of this role’s physical requirements. Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions. Administrative Assistant, Advancement Team
Administrative Assistant, Advancement Team

Pioneers is seeking a highly-organized, and administratively-talented individual, to assist the Vice President of Advancement. This person would be expected to enthusiastically promote Pioneers and support its fundraising goals. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant for the Advancement Team include managing communication for the Vice President, maintaining records and files, supporting in-house mailings, aiding in team logistics (e.g. - travel plans, expense forms, scheduling, etc.), while also undertaking various special projects as needed.

 

A qualified candidate will demonstrate: A deep commitment to Pioneers’ values and mission of engaging unreached peoples; 1-2 years of related experience; a systematic, organized approach to work and personal management; strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort talking with and praying for donors on the phone; mastery of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience working with databases. Highly desired qualifications that would also be a plus include prior experience with Basecamp, MS Outlook, donor databases, and any CRM systems.

Campus Services Logistics Coordinator
Campus Services Logistics Coordinator

Pioneers is seeking an energetic, proactive individual to enhance their Office Services Team.  The Campus Services Logistics Coordinator will provide essential support services to Pioneers staff and guests at the headquarters located in southeast Orlando near the international airport.  Major responsibilities include facilitating all shipping and receiving of mail-related items, maintenance/office support, inventory control, event support, and transportation. 

 

The qualified candidate must demonstrate a deep commitment to Pioneers core values and mission; solid computer skills in Microsoft Office/Word and Excel; good communication and strong customer service skills; a teachable spirit and an eager readiness to serve. 

 

The candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. This is a full-time position with benefits.  Salary will be commensurate with experience and role.

This position requires the ability to: bend, climb and lift 50 pounds consistently, stand and walk for long periods of time; ability to work in varying climate conditions, including working in extreme heat conditions including temperatures above 100 degrees, extreme cold weather conditions, and during precipitation; use and be trained on high lifts that have a working height above 60 feet; assist the Director of Maintenance in maintaining thorough service and maintenance logs for all repairs to vehicles and carts; no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals.

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus and see all colors.

Church Partnerships Facilitator – Central Western region
Church Partnerships Facilitator – Central Western region

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Church Partnerships Team in the position of Church Partnerships Facilitator. The Church Partnerships Facilitator represents PI to the US church constituency and is responsible to pursue pathways in partnership to promote a vision for the unreached and to mobilize workers for the task. The posture of the Church Partner Facilitator is that of one who comes alongside churches with both a listening ear and a helping hand. 

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a passionate commitment to PI’s core values and mission; spiritual maturity and discernment; a self-starter and ability to work effectively without close supervision; a professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills -- verbal, written, and public speaking; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for database management. In addition the qualified individual will bring training in Bible, theology and cross-cultural ministry with experience in overseas ministry preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Grounds Team Member
Grounds Team Member

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to serve in the position of Campus Services Team Member – Grounds focus. This role primarily assists the Maintenance team with lawn and grounds maintenance at a 45-acre property. This role also provides support to the larger Campus Services team according to fluctuating business needs and seasonal demands, including event setup & take-down, transportation of guests during events, and maintenance of the campus buildings. Specific responsibilities include: Lawn mowing, string trimmer use, edging, forced air blowing, weed pulling, raking, digging, planting of different size plants and trees, watering and work on irrigation, adjusting sprinkler heads, applying mulch and pine straw, application of different products, painting, pressure washing, scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, wiping down cobwebs, trimming palm trees, and use of a ladder.

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to Pioneers' core values and mission, be a service oriented individual that works well with others, and have a strong ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and follow through on assignments given.  Previous experience in irrigation is helpful.

Maintenance Manager
Maintenance Manager

Pioneers is seeking an energetic, highly-motivated Maintenance Manager for its home office located in Orlando, FL.

The Maintenance Manager is an integral member of the Campus Services and Operations Team reporting to the Director of Maintenance and works closely with the Grounds Manager.  The Maintenance Manager will maintain oversight of all buildings and structures including their operating systems (electric, plumbing, heat, and A/C), and will provide back-up and assistance for the Grounds Manager as needed.  We are looking for a skilled individual who maintains good records and systems and can manage staff and outsources contracts and resources, and can establish and maintain a maintenance plan to assist in keeping Pioneers & KOA facilities in top condition.

  

The qualified individual will have: a firm commitment to Pioneers’ values and mission; at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance/ operational leadership role caring for facilities of at least 20,00 Square feet; supervised, managed or led a team of at least 3 staff; commitment to excellence while being able to manage a budget over $100,000 per year; current or past State or Government Licensing; ability to acquire the following within your first 90 days of employment: Commercial Pool Operator (CPO) & LP Gas Dispenser Category II License; a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record; a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; some experience with small engine repair and mechanics; and be knowledgeable in infrastructure, construction, and maintenance of facilities. The qualified individual will be a service oriented individual that works well with others; able to lead, instruct, and train others; an impactful team player that looks for creative solutions to better maintain facilities; have a strong ability to function as a team-player; have a strong ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and follow through on assignments given; and have excellence in communication both verbally and in written form.

 

This person will provide back-up and assistance for the Maintenance Team as needed, and will be part of the after-hours on-call team, therefore must have the ability to take emergency after hours calls and communicate with customers and staff to ensure campus functionality during and after hours, including the ability to be on site in case of emergency within 1.25 hours.

In addition, the qualified individual will have experience in: overseas ministry (4 years of field experience or equivalent); theological training; mentoring/coaching/debriefing experience; ability to locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US Mobilization Base headquarters, and the ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

We are looking for a positive person with familiarity with payroll programs or integrated accounting software; Associates degree in accounting or 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or 2-4 years of other accounting experience, extreme attention to detail with good math and problem solving skills, ability to work in an increasingly digital and paperless environment, good written and verbal communication skills, a proactive team player, and intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Based at the Pioneers US home office located in southeast Orlando, FL, this is a part-time, paid position working 20-24 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and role.

 

Responsibilities include: making careful updates to employee payroll cards, being the backup support person for hourly payrolls, sending out credit card statements, tracking outstanding credit card expense reporting, reviewing expense reports with follow up  as needed, and preparing journal entries for posting credit cards.

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Pre-field Team in the position of Pre-field Coach. The Pre-field Coach is the primary contact person for all US appointees. 

Pre-field Coaches encourage, assist, track, and hold all appointees accountable from the time of their appointment to Pioneers until their departure for the field. The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers core values and mission; spiritual maturity and propensity toward encouraging and shepherding appointees; servant leadership; experience in excellent communication skills in speaking and written forms; overseas ministry experience or experience assisting new workers to the field; practical experience in mentoring or coaching; and a desire to facilitate prayer for appointees’ requests among the Orlando Team.

The desired candidate will possess: minimum training in database and website management; a desire to develop, instruct, and assist appointees in preparation and execution of a Pre-field plan while keeping appointees accountable to quarterly reports; the ability to give final departure clearance to appointees; the ability to assist the VP of Personnel in coordinating and conducting programs; a professional and engaging demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; and strong computer, database, and Microsoft Office skills. The Pre-field coach also maintains communication with field leadership regarding appointees.

This position requires the ability to: locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US Mobilization Base headquarters; travel domestically and internationally; sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day; and work on a computer (typing and viewing a screen) for up to 8 hours/day.
