Senior Food Service Assistant
Senior Food Service Assistant
Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual gifted in hospitality to serve in the position of Senior Food Service Assistant.  This role works full-time (average 32-40 hours/week on a variable schedule including weekend and evening hours) to assist the Food Service Manager in preparing and serving food for all on-campus events, about 90% of the time. This position also helps out other areas within the Campus Services Team (including housekeeping, etc.) on an as needed basis, about 10% of the time.  Specific responsibilities include:  leading a small team in preparing meals, setting up and cleaning the kitchen and dining area before and after events, food preparation per recipes, food service to guests, taking initiative as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines, stepping in for the Food Service Manager for vacation and time off, and working in cross-department roles as needed and as hours allow.

Food Service Assistant
Food Service Assistant

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual, gifted in hospitality to serve in the position of Food Service Assistant.  This role primarily assists the Food Service Manager in preparing and serving food for on-campus events, and is available to assist with other Hospitality team responsibilities as needed.  Specific responsibilities include:  setting up and cleaning the kitchen and dining area before and after events, food preparation per recipes, safe and efficient food service to guests, cleaning floors and removing garbage, washing dishes by means of a commercial dish machine and three compartment sink, sanitizing equipment, restocking paper products, and taking initiative as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines. 

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission, a friendly and outgoing manner, basic food service knowledge and the ability to follow recipes, an ability to move/lift items up to 20 lbs shoulder high on a regular basis and stand for 4 hours at a time, no food allergies that would hinder ability to prepare and serve food, and availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.

 

Based in the Pioneers USA headquarters in southeast Orlando near the international airport, this is an event-based part-time position working a variable schedule. This role averages approximately 15-20 hours a week on event weeks (usually 2-3 weeks a month).

Recruitment Coordinator
Recruitment Coordinator

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Mobilization Team in the position of Recruitment Coordinator.   The person serving in this role coordinates recruitment opportunities, travels to venues and events to represent Pioneers, and follows up with candidates from initial contact to the point of application, with the goal of mobilizing individuals for field service.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a passionate commitment to Pioneers core values and mission; spiritual maturity and discernment; a highly relational and energetic personality to mentor others; a professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills (verbal, written and public speaking); strong initiative and an entrepreneurial spirit; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite; an ability to travel; and must be able to locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US Mobilization Base headquarters.  Previous overseas missions experience is strongly preferred.

Administrative Assistant to the Executive Team

Pioneers is seeking a high-energy, well-organized individual to support the Senior Vice-President/COO, Senior Vice-President of Global Ministries, and others as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Team.   We are looking for a positive person with a strong ability to multi-task in support of the multi-faceted administrative functions required by the Executive Team including: organizing work, meeting schedules and  travel arrangements; data base maintenance; managing correspondence; assisting with the production of promotional materials; preparing reports; providing administrative support for special projects, meetings and events; and file management. 

In addition to the above, the qualified individual will demonstrate: a vital relationship with God; a high degree of flexibility to shift between tasks quickly; excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms; able to type 40-60 words/minute; a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; excellent organizational skills; a keen eye for detail and accuracy; and initiative to complete tasks.  The candidate should also have a firm commitment to Pioneer’s core values and mission.  A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years administrative experience is preferred.

Member Development Consultant

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Member Development Team in the position of Member Development Consultant.  The Member Development Consultant will support Pioneers field missionaries by ministering through a variety of means to maximize each one’s efforts in reaching the unreached.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission; spiritual maturity and discernment; skill and a propensity toward encouragement and shepherding; a professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills including excellent listening and reflection skills; strong communication skills both verbal and written; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for database management; and the ability to effectively relate to pastors and missionaries.

In addition, the qualified individual will have experience in: overseas ministry (4 years of field experience or equivalent); theological training; mentoring/coaching/debriefing experience; ability to locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US Mobilization Base headquarters, and the ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Grounds & Irrigation Team Member
Grounds & Irrigation Team Member

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to serve on the Grounds team doing landscaping and irrigation work. This role primarily assists with lawn, irrigation, and grounds maintenance at a 45-acre property. This role also provides support to the larger Campus Services team according to fluctuating business needs and seasonal demands, including event setup & take-down, transportation of guests during events, and maintenance of the campus buildings.

Specific responsibilities include: Lawn mowing, string trimmer use, edging, forced air blowing, weed pulling, raking, digging, planting of different size plants and trees, watering and work on irrigation, adjusting sprinkler heads, applying mulch and pine straw, application of different products, painting, pressure washing, scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, wiping down cobwebs, trimming palm trees, and use of a ladder.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to Pioneers' core values and mission, be a service oriented individual that works well with others, and have a strong ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and follow through on assignments given.  Previous experience in irrigation is helpful.


Physical demands for this position include the ability to work in varying climate conditions, including working in extreme heat conditions including temperatures above 100 degrees, extreme cold weather conditions, and during precipitation; bend, climb and lift 50lbs consistently, stand and walk for a minimum of 4 hours, and no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus and see all colors.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly  talk and hear, stand walk, kneel, stoop, bend, crawl, dig, crouch, climb, run, jump, saw; frequently use ladders and climb and work while elevated, climb up roof hatch access ladders, work in tight and confined spaces; and frequently use varying maintenance equipment including but not limited to, small power tools, pressure washers, and cleaners, and operate a pressure washer, power saws of all types, use hand tools and other equipment.

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Pre-field Team in the position of Pre-field Coach. The Pre-field Coach is the primary contact person for all US appointees. 

Pre-field Coaches encourage, assist, track, and hold all appointees accountable from the time of their appointment to Pioneers until their departure for the field. The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers core values and mission; spiritual maturity and propensity toward encouraging and shepherding appointees; servant leadership; experience in excellent communication skills in speaking and written forms; overseas ministry experience or experience assisting new workers to the field; practical experience in mentoring or coaching; and a desire to facilitate prayer for appointees’ requests among the Orlando Team.

The desired candidate will possess: minimum training in database and website management; a desire to develop, instruct, and assist appointees in preparation and execution of a Pre-field plan while keeping appointees accountable to quarterly reports; the ability to give final departure clearance to appointees; the ability to assist the VP of Personnel in coordinating and conducting programs; a professional and engaging demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; and strong computer, database, and Microsoft Office skills. The Pre-field coach also maintains communication with field leadership regarding appointees.

This position requires the ability to: locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US Mobilization Base headquarters; travel domestically and internationally; sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day; and work on a computer (typing and viewing a screen) for up to 8 hours/day.

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Church Partnerships Team in the position of Church Partnerships Facilitator. The Church Partnerships Facilitator represents PI to the US church constituency and is responsible to pursue pathways in partnership to promote a vision for the unreached and to mobilize workers for the task. The posture of the Church Partner Facilitator is that of one who comes alongside churches with both a listening ear and a helping hand. 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a passionate commitment to PI’s core values and mission; spiritual maturity and discernment; a self-starter and ability to work effectively without close supervision; a professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills -- verbal, written, and public speaking; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for database management.
