Church Partnerships Facilitator – Central Western region
Church Partnerships Facilitator – Central Western region

Pioneers is seeking a discerning, spiritually mature individual to serve on its Church Partnerships Team in the position of Church Partnerships Facilitator. The Church Partnerships Facilitator represents PI to the US church constituency and is responsible to pursue pathways in partnership to promote a vision for the unreached and to mobilize workers for the task. The posture of the Church Partner Facilitator is that of one who comes alongside churches with both a listening ear and a helping hand. 

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a passionate commitment to PI’s core values and mission; spiritual maturity and discernment; a self-starter and ability to work effectively without close supervision; a professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills -- verbal, written, and public speaking; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for database management. In addition the qualified individual will bring training in Bible, theology and cross-cultural ministry with experience in overseas ministry preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

 

This region of 13 states requires a resident location central to the Denver, Colorado area. This is a full-time, *support-raised position with benefits, which requires the approved candidate to develop a donor base of individuals and churches to fund their salary.

Food Service Assistant
Food Service Assistant

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual, gifted in hospitality to serve in the position of Food Service Assistant.  This role primarily assists the Food Service Manager in preparing and serving food for on-campus events, and is available to assist with other Hospitality team responsibilities as needed.  Specific responsibilities include:  setting up and cleaning the kitchen and dining area before and after events, food preparation per recipes, safe and efficient food service to guests, cleaning floors and removing garbage, washing dishes by means of a commercial dish machine and three compartment sink, sanitizing equipment, restocking paper products, and taking initiative as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines. 

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission, a friendly and outgoing manner, basic food service knowledge and the ability to follow recipes, an ability to move/lift items up to 20 lbs shoulder high on a regular basis and stand for 4 hours at a time, no food allergies that would hinder ability to prepare and serve food, and availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.

 

Based in the Pioneers USA headquarters in southeast Orlando near the international airport, this is an event-based part-time position working a variable schedule. This role averages approximately 15-20 hours a week on event weeks (usually 2-3 weeks a month).

Housekeeping Assistant
Housekeeping Assistant

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual, gifted in hospitality to serve in the position of Housekeeping Assistant. 

 

This role primarily provides housekeeping services for the Pioneers Frizen Center facility, and is available to assist with other Campus Services team responsibilities as needed, including event set-up and take-down, kitchen duties, and occasional light maintenance of the campus buildings.  

 

Specific responsibilities include: cleaning guest rooms, lobby, and training rooms; cleaning and sanitizing laundry; reporting and filling out inventory and room check lists; and maintaining office and storage areas.  We are looking for a positive, well-organized individual who will show initiative to support our growing organization.

 

The qualified candidate will demonstrate: a firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission; strong customer service skills and a temperament that enjoys dealing with both adults and children; basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; and an ability to move/lift items up to 20 lbs shoulder-high on a regular basis and stand for 4 hours at a time and to do repetitive bending/reaching; no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals; and availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.

Lawn Care Specialist
Lawn Care Specialist

Pioneers is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to serve on the Grounds team. This role primarily assists with lawn, landscaping, irrigation, and grounds maintenance at a 45-acre property. This role also provides support to the larger Campus Services team according to fluctuating business needs and seasonal demands, including event setup & take-down, transportation of guests during events, and maintenance of the campus buildings. This position may include instructing and overseeing a small team of 1-3 grounds staff members.

Specific responsibilities include: Lawn mowing, string trimmer use, edging, forced air blowing, weed pulling, raking, digging, planting of different size plants and trees, watering and work on irrigation, adjusting sprinkler heads, applying mulch and pine straw, application of different products, painting, pressure washing, scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, wiping down cobwebs, trimming palm trees, and use of a ladder.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to Pioneers' core values and mission, be a service oriented individual that works well with others, and have a strong ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and follow through on assignments given.  Previous experience in irrigation is helpful.

Physical demands for this position include the ability to work in varying climate conditions, including working in extreme heat conditions including temperatures above 100 degrees, extreme cold weather conditions, and during precipitation; bend, climb and lift 50lbs consistently, stand and walk for a minimum of 4 hours, and no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus and see all colors.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly  talk and hear, stand walk, kneel, stoop, bend, crawl, dig, crouch, climb, run, jump, saw; frequently use ladders and climb and work while elevated, climb up roof hatch access ladders, work in tight and confined spaces; and frequently use varying maintenance equipment including but not limited to, small power tools, pressure washers, and cleaners, and operate a pressure washer, power saws of all types, use hand tools and other equipment.

Maintenance Technician 1 - HVAC/Plumbing
Maintenance Technician 1 - HVAC/Plumbing

Pioneers is seeking an energetic, highly-motivated Maintenance Technician 1 (HVAC/Plumbing) for its headquarters located in Orlando, FL.  We are looking for a skilled individual who maintains good records and can organize PM tasks; who has leadership skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and vendors alike; and who can work as part of a team or alone and has great social skills and customer service skills, as this position works closely with internal, external customers and outside vendors.

 

The Maintenance Technician 1 (HVAC/Plumbing) will assist the Maintenance Manager in the oversight of all of the structures on our campus; specifically, the detailed upkeep of HVAC systems & units, mechanical systems, controls systems, plumbing and other various areas throughout our facilities.  This individual will provide back-up and assistance for the Maintenance Team as needed, and may be part of the after-hours on-call team.   

 

The qualified candidate will be a service oriented individual that works well with others, able to lead, instruct, and train others; an impactful team player that looks for creative solutions to better maintain facilities; have a strong ability to function as a team-player; have a strong ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and follow through on assignments given; and have excellence in communication both verbally and in written form.

 

In addition the qualified individual must possess:

  • a firm commitment to Pioneers’ values and mission;
  • a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record;
  • State / EPA licenses and certificates for charging and evacuating HVAC systems, with 3 - 5 years of experience in the HVAC field;
  • some experience in or around plumbing or plumbing trades, and
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, construction, and maintenance of facilities.

 

Physical demands for this position include the ability to bend, climb and lift 40 lbs consistently, stand and walk for long periods of time, work in varying climate conditions, including working in extreme heat conditions including temperatures above 100 degrees, extreme cold weather conditions, and during precipitation; and no allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals. Pioneers is seeking a relational, committed person to serve on its Advancement Team in the position of Major Gifts Officer.

 

Position summary:

The Major Gifts Officer applies Biblical stewardship principles in relational fundraising, cultivating genuine and mutually beneficial relationships between Pioneers and ministry partners. The goal of the MGO is to see these partners (individuals, churches, and businesses) support Pioneers-USA and Pioneers' global projects through major gifts, ongoing pledges, and the planning of future gifts by will, estate, or other financial vehicles. In this way, the MGO generates the relationships and funding needed to see more churches planted among people who were previously unreached by the gospel.

 

This work is undertaken as a remote employee of the US Base (Orlando, FL), with travel and networking all within the region of the MGO's residence. In particular, candidates are being sought in Central Texas, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Southwest, although other regions of residence would be considered. Preference given to candidates who can show a well-established personal network in the region of their residence. Experience with cross-cultural missions is also highly valued.

What does a normal work day look like?
-- Use creative methods of engaging potential donors such as Face-to-face meetings, special events, Point of Entry Events, vision trips, executive briefings, social networking, etc.
-- Collaborate regularly with other members of the Advancement Team in order to provide timely reports, proposals, updates
-- Return calls within 24 hours and acknowledge and thank donors within 2 working days of receiving gifts
-- Master and utilize Pioneers’ Constituent Relationship Management System (CRM) for recording and tracking all donor contact information and goals in a timely manner


Key qualifications we're looking for:

-- firm commitment to Pioneers’ statement of faith, core values and mission;
-- a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, nonprofit fundraising, or a relevant discipline;
-- at least 5 years prior experience in nonprofit fundraising programs/firms, sales roles, or financial advising;
-- passion for Biblical stewardship and desire to engage others in the same;
-- experience in public speaking and presentation;
-- familiar with Social Media tools and comfortable using them for networking and fundraising;
-- willingness to spend the majority of time on the phone, writing letters, and performing database work in an effort to build a constituency of approximately 150 donors to visit and steward regularly;
-- ability to travel and spend 30% of the time (15 weeks) out of town, traveling internationally as much as 2x/year;
-- has a home office and is willing to work at home remotely.

Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist

Pioneers is seeking a well-organized individual to assist the Finance team with payroll updates and processing, processing and maintaining accounting for company credit cards. We are looking for a positive person with familiarity with payroll programs or integrated accounting software; Associates degree in accounting or 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or 2-4 years of other accounting experience, extreme attention to detail with good math and problem solving skills, ability to work in an increasingly digital and paperless environment, good written and verbal communication skills, a proactive team player, and intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Based at the Pioneers US home office located in southeast Orlando, FL, this is a part-time, paid position working 20-24 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and role.

 

Responsibilities include: making careful updates to employee payroll cards, being the backup support person for hourly payrolls, sending out credit card statements, tracking outstanding credit card expense reporting, reviewing expense reports with follow up  as needed, and preparing journal entries for posting credit cards.

Staff Accountant Analyst
Staff Accountant Analyst

Pioneers is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant/Analyst to serve in its USA headquarters.  We are looking for a degreed accountant with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience accounting experience in a corporation, non-profit or accounting firm. The ideal candidate is a positive team player, and shows initiative to support our growing organization.

The qualified candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission,  advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; excellent analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of accounting principles and practices; a keen eye for detail; a systems-minded approach; and ability to work in an increasingly digital and paperless environment.

Duties include: assisting the Controller with monthly managerial reporting; designing and maintaining management reports in JET; analyzing and mining data to assist in management decision making; assisting payroll with complex journals and reconciliations; preparation of monthly sales tax reports; monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations; preparing period and month-end journal entries and assisting with month-end close; and other projects as assigned.

Preferred skills and experience include: prior experience with payroll; experience in a cost accounting environment; sales tax; familiarity with a report writer, and experience with an integrated financial application.
