Payroll Specialist

Part-time, paid position

Pioneers is seeking a well-organized individual to assist the Finance team with payroll updates and processing, processing and maintaining accounting for company credit cards. We are looking for a positive person with familiarity with payroll programs or integrated accounting software; Associates degree in accounting or 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or 2-4 years of other accounting experience, extreme attention to detail with good math and problem solving skills, ability to work in an increasingly digital and paperless environment, good written and verbal communication skills, a proactive team player, and intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Based at the Pioneers US home office located in southeast Orlando, FL, this is a part-time, paid position working 20-24 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and role.

 

Responsibilities include: making careful updates to employee payroll cards, being the backup support person for hourly payrolls, sending out credit card statements, tracking outstanding credit card expense reporting, reviewing expense reports with follow up  as needed, and preparing journal entries for posting credit cards. 

 

What follows is a description of this role’s physical requirements. Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions. Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to verbally communicate to exchange information. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
