Write God's Stories: Prioritize Unreached People Groups

"How are you writing the story of your life?" asked a close friend of Pioneers co-founder Ted Fletcher. "What is the next chapter that God might have for you?"

Ted reflects in When God Comes Calling, "His question startled me, and in the weeks that followed God wouldn't let me forget it. One May morning in 1968, I was alone in our Detroit, Michigan, living room reading my Bible, and when I came to Psalm 2:8, I stopped: 'Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.' The words had such a terrific authority that I knew God was speaking directly to me. I wrote in my Bible next to verse eight, 'God's promise to me' " (page 47).

In appreciation of God's direction to Ted via Psalm 2:8, Pioneers has selected 28 priority unreached people groups for focused prayer and mobilization efforts. Although Pioneers missionaries are currently serving among 130 people groups, these 28 are groups to which our field leaders and teams are dedicating strategic energy and prayer.
