While missionaries are raising support, they receive 90% of the funds donated; once they go to the field they receive 88% of the funds donated to support their ministries. We deduct 10% for administrative expenses and an additional 2% while they are overseas to assist the ministry of our international leadership, which provides direction and support to our missionaries' teams. There is also an additional 3% fee for each gift contributed via credit card.
Pioneers is a faith-based mission in which the majority of its personnel depend on the Lord for the provision of their paycheck. Teams of churches and individuals partner together with each worker to provide their necessary prayer support, salary, and work expenses. Our missionaries are most easily understood as employees of our organization. Each month they receive a set salary that is determined by their individual ministry and personal needs for their family and the standards of living in their part of the world. Regardless of fluctuations in the amount of donations received, they receive the same salary, provided the funds are available. All the gifts that are given to support missionaries are held in our accounting under their names, and the funds remain available for them, if they have special ministry needs above their salary.
We are charged a 3% fee to process credit cards which is subtracted from the gift before it is passed along to the missionary.
Any changes of amount or designation must be submitted to Pioneers in writing. You may email our Finance Team (EFT), send a fax to 407-382-1008, or mail the updated information to: Pioneers Attn: EFT Specialist

Yes. Only 35 percent of Pioneers' annual budget is covered by the contributions given to our missionaries. Therefore, we depend on the Lord to provide the remainder of our operating expenses from other sources. To designate your donation for this purpose, indicate “Ministry Assistance Fund” when you give your gift.
Donations for missionary support, global projects, and Pioneers' Ministry Assistance Fund are tax-deductible. According to IRS guidelines, such gifts remain under the jurisdiction and control of Pioneers. Personal gifts (such as those given at Christmas or birthdays) can be given to missionaries, however the words "non tax-deductible" must be written on the check.
To give a personal, non tax-deductible gift to a missionary at Christmas-time or other special occasions, make your check payable to Pioneers and write "non tax-deductible" on the memo line. This check must be separate from your regular support check to ensure that 100% of your gift can be given to the missionary. Churches are unable to give personal, non tax-deductible gifts. (See below.)
Churches issue tax-deductible receipts to individuals to collect funds; therefore we cannot process donations from churches as personal, non tax-deductible gifts. All gifts from churches that say “Christmas” or “personal” will be designated to the missionary's account as extra donations.
Simply indicate this intent when you give your gift. At your request, a letter may be sent from Pioneers to the person or family you are recognizing with your gift. To facilitate this, please provide the appropriate name, address and specifications (e.g. Do you wish to be named? May we share how much was given to the missionary or project?). If you are making the gift online, use the "Comments" box to provide the information mentioned above with your contribution.
If you are a donor, please email your address, phone, or email address changes to the Finance Team.
Currently, we only have the capacity to send electronic receipts to donors who give regularly by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), automatic credit card transfers or online bill pay through their bank. If you already give an automatic, monthly or quarterly gift and would like to receive your receipts by e-mail, please contact the Receipts Team. Please include your primary e-mail address, your name and your partner number in the body. Your partner number is located in both the top and bottom sections of your paper receipt near your name. If you have any questions, please email the Receipts Team or call 407-382-6000.
